Seven kitchen trends for 2025 – What is Hot and What is Not

Seven kitchen trends for 2025 – What is Hot and What is Not

Every year there are new trends and this year is no exception.

    Kitchen compilation

The things that you can plan on seeing in 2025 in the kitchen are as follows:

    1. HOT: LOTS OF DRAWERS
Add as many drawers as possible with less cabinet storage. This is mostly for the functionality. The kitchen drawers are easier to reach into and see what you have in the back.
NOT: All doors on lower cabinets.
    2. HOT: PRETTY PANTRIES
These are also called dirty kitchen or scullery, depending on what appliances are in them. The pantry is not just for storage anymore. Choose a bright color, hang some pictures, or add a piece of furniture. For the past few years, I have been designing a working counter in the pantry with many electrical outlets where appliances can be stored and used . This allows you to keep your kitchen counters clear, but you still can get to your counter top appliances to use them easily. Sinks and extra refrigerator might also be added .
NOT: Just a small closet with shelves.
    3. HOT: HINTS OF WOOD
This could be in your cabinetry or open shelving All wood cabinetry is making a comeback, especially medium brown wood tones.
      NOT: All white.
    4. HOT: BEVERAGE BAR OR COFFEE STATION
Beverage bar or coffee station-almost every kitchen has one now and there is always an under counter refrigerator.
NOT: Just a coffee pot on the counter.
    5. HOT: A VINTAGE FURNITURE PIECE
This adds interest and cozy feeling to your kitchen
      NOT: A sterile kitchen.
    6. HOT: BRIGHT COLORS
Some kitchens are using color in cabinetry or at least a color on the island. This year you’ll see a lot of blue and green but you might even see sunshine yellow.
      NOT: All white and gray.
    7. HOT: CUSTOM RANGE HOODS.
These are made of plaster or wood sometimes with built in side shelves to hold oils or spices.
NOT: A plain stainless steel hood.
